Women @2pm; Men @4pm
Every year women’s basketball teams across the nation dedicate February to raising funds for breast cancer. This year, the Ouachita Lady Tigers are doing something a little more personal with this great event.
Lyndsey Hawkins Taylor (“Hawk”) played basketball here from 2000-2004. Shortly after graduating, she was diagnosed and fought a battle with breast cancer. After defeating that disease, she and her husband, Adam Taylor, adopted 3 amazing young children. This past year, God blessed Lyndsey with a pregnancy. She had a beautiful baby boy in December. A week after giving birth, she was given the news that she has bone cancer throughout her body. She has already had 2 surgeries and a round of radiation with more to come. The Taylor family is a very special family with a very strong faith in God, but they could use our help.
Pictures of Lyndsey and her family are at the bottom of this email!!!!
This FEBRUARY 16th – the Ouachita Women’s Basketball team will be “pinking out” Bill Vining Arena in honor of Lyndsey and the Taylor family. We will be raising funds through donations and the sale of t-shirts.
